Acrylics

My nails are in a horrid state after having acrylics done for atleast a yr and half of and on, before 3 weeks ago i had none for 6 months as i wanted them to get back to a normalish state with no help from any sort of treatments ect they where ok but forever brakeing i could no longer go with bare nails so i caved in and got them done :(((, i took the ones of i had on for 3 weeks stupidly i just riptd them of bad bad bad idea, on one of my nails its spilt half way down my actual nail so you can imagine the mess my normal nails in. I was shopping in Manc yesterday i usually go for the very fake looking long ones so this time ive gon for a more i guess natural looking nail..i just feel i cant go out with bare nails looking a total mess i feel undone if that makes anysence, anyway ive bin to this place in Manc a few times and their ok i spose but yesterday they must of took the women 20 mins in total usually it takes atleast a good hr to an hr n half..and yea you can tell they have bin totally rushed shes cut me to pics wil show, their where like five girls waiting no wonder they where rushing its like a production line seriously lol ..with most of these nail bars they could not care less about the quality its about quantity the more the beter and prices ranging from a full set of white tips £25.00 up to a take of and ful set £30.00 and around five girls at a time they make serious £££..i would love to get them done at nails inc but at ££55 its abit steap but i guess you get what you pay for. I do like the fake lookin nail but if you prefer your natural nails i wouldnt get acrylics not worth the after math..geting a nice lookin normal nail again takes alot of time after these i may leave the arcylics and try just to have my normal nails and just have french manicures. I was looking at strengthening treatments and all the rest of it yesterday in Boots, their where some Leighton Denny ones i quite fancied has any one tryd any of his nail treatments..?

    The Leighton Denny stuff is great but when you first remove acrylics I would go for OPI nail envy and some sort of cuticle oil - have a look on ebay :) you can even apply the nail envy etc under the tips of your falsies - definitely take them off though the sooner you take them off and start looking after them the quicker they will look better - there are a few good blogs around at the moment about nail growth I think Sarah at I Heart Make Up is growing out acrylics at the moment too - good luck xx

    I've worn acrylic nails like 3 times so far and they look great but I just find them really uncomfortable to wear. The ones u have look quite natural though. I prefer to look after my own nails and have french manicure done than wear acrylics all the time and have my own nails in a horrible state lol xoxo

    Thanks for sharing, I have been wanting to get accrylic nails for ages, But my natural nails are in a quite good state so i don't think ill bother, They look really nice though :) !

    Hi babes, as Lou mentioned I am growing out my nails after acrylics and OMG its hell I want them so so bad - I know how you feel, they don't chip its so easy to put on polish they always look nice and make your hands look so nice grrr i wish they were good for you! I am finding Nailtiques formula 2 plus the only thing that will make them grown and stop splitting. Theres a pic of it on my blog as todays post. I have tried Sally Hanses, OPI, CND, Leighton Denny and all did absolutely nothing at all! Also the mavala 'scientifique' is supposed to be very good but I wanted to use the nailtiques as they sell it at my salon exactly for ppl who are trying to grow out acrylics. You can get it fairly cheap online or on ebay xx

    i had a look for that nailtigues formula 2 i found it on a site for about 17££ so im going to give that ago i think..i really dont wanna take these fake ones off lol its so hard arrrrrr maybe i'l wait like 2 weeks til they start growing and get them removed,then start with the treatment god its like i get anxiety just thinking about it lol
