  1. That's what happened at the salon, it's quite common if you strip too much red off, they told me this before I got it done and automatically put a flatter colour over the top to tone it down, you'll be fine chick xx

  2. Aww hope your ok - i always mess up my hair. never used this stuff but they say when you use a hair colour remover it strips the colour out to a brassy colour and then you put a dye over the top of it cos it can never go back to the colour it was. Not sure though?? My hair was black so i put a bleach blonde over the top til it went like a light ginger colour and then put a light brown over, turned out ok but blonde keeps poking back through!! xx

  5. Not sure if this comment will actually still be relevant, bit late, sorry!
According to the guy who makes this stuff, it's not supposed to be used on fashion colours - extreme pinks, greens reds ETC, it's meant for browns and so on, expecially if you used XXL colour, it doesn't work on that, suppose they should probably put that on the box, did you use XXL to dye your hair red?
Hope your hairs okay now, I know how upsetting bad hair can be

  6. I used this and it went exactly how Scott said it would. My hair had got a build up of Dark Brown/red on it, used the extra stength stuff on it and my god its ace :-)it is back to the light/golden brown it used to be. its got a bit of a ginger tint to it but he told me to put a wash out ash tone on it to tone it down, but he said to leave it a few days to settle down. Im so please Ive done this :-)

  9. If you dye your hair permanently you should at least get an idea of what it does.
Most hair colourants contain PEROXIDE. Obviously not as much as one designed to make you blonde, but the majority of them will need to lighten your hair, expecially red dyes, to make it vibrant.
Obviously this peroxide permanently lightens your hair and yes, it did the same to me and I went bright ginger haha. ALWAYS MAKE SURE you have at least a semi permanent colour on stand by.

  11. it does work you just have to follow the instructions properly ive used it again since this review and it worked fine took the black outer my hair, probs better of using it when you don't have root regrowth tho cause my roots went lighter but im back to black anyway now so it doesn't really matter lol, its not that expensive i got it from tesco for around 8 pounds i think, i need two boxes tho my hairs thick and long, i am thinking of using it again but doing it twice leaving a few days and repeating to get rid or try to get rid of the purple/red undertone i have to my hair im not sure what to do i love black hair but i wont a change. it wont turn out wrong if you follow the steps

  12. Pretty much all color strippers leave a red/ginger/brassy cast behind, its just what they do. If you use a toning or tone correcting shampoo after the stripper it should take out the red/ginger/brassy in a few days time or just leave it and it will work out on its own usually. B4 is one of the best strippers to use since it doesnt have the harsh chemicals i.e. bleach, peroxide, ammonia...

Also after 4 days my hair started to go back darker
